SUR-MOOR™
BUOYS The sole purpose of the mooring buoy is
to support the mooring chain. The two preferred designs for mooring
buoys are a traditional buoy with hardware or a buoy with a tube through
the center. Both offer reliable flotation and will last for several
seasons, depending upon the salinity of the water. Obviously, freshwater
applications will extend the useful life of any mooring system. A
permanent mooring system, when properly designed, should securely
position a boat so that it can be left unattended, with little attention,
for long periods of time. Each system usually consists of a mooring
buoy (to float the chain), a mooring anchor and a length of chain
(running between the anchor and the mooring buoy) . Also the proper
ground tackle includes correct sized galvanized shackles
and swivels. Always keep in
mind, that the mooring system is only as reliable as the "current"
conditions of the environment. All Taylor-Made Sur-Moor™ Buoys
are built to withstand the constant abuse of most mooring environments.

T3C™ MOORING BUOY Taylor Made Products Sur-Moor™
Hard Skin Mooring Buoys are seamless and tough, one-piece polyethylene
shell. Hard skin shells feature ultraviolet light absorbers for
long-term life under the sun. Filled with 2 lbs. density closed-cell
foam to positively displace water. Blue stripe is reflective for
night visibility. Choose between hot-dipped galvanized eyebolt and
swivel design or tube-through-the-center design with double collar
made from rigid PVC tubing. Doesn't include hardware (shackles,
etc.) Three year

SHACKLE BUOY Taylor Made Products Sur-Moor Shackle
Buoy rope nest design has a built in cup shape at the top of the
buoy that allows the anchor shackle to nest below the buoy surface.
This recessed area helps shield the shackle from contacting the
boat hull while making a convenient nesting place for the pennant
line when the boat departs from the mooring. The hard-skin polyethylene
shell is UV protected to resist the weathering effects of sunlight
and is foam filled to positively displace water. Tube-Through-The-Center
design with blue reflective striping. Three-year flotation warranty
on all hard-skin buoys. Hardware not included; sold separately

TAPERED BUOY The Taylor Made Products Sur-Moor™
Taper Shape Buoy design places more floatation area at the waterline
creating a higher visibility mooring. The hard-skin polyethylene
shall is UV protected to resist the weathering effects of sunlight
and is foam filled to positively displace water. Available in the
Tube-Through-The-Center design with blue reflective striping. Mooring
Collars are sold separately (see below). Mooring collar not
available for the 30" Diameter Tapered Buoy. Three-year flotation
warranty on all hard-skin buoys. Hardware not included.

Designed to work in combination with standard shackles. Mooring collars are sized to slip into the top of 2" or 2-1/2" tube diameters. |
